Dwindling oil reserves

Oil wells in the Niger Delta region are showing signs of drying up. That's according to the Director of Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Mr George Osahon. Speaking at a recent Nigeria Oil and Gas Conference in Abuja, Osahon said that the onshore part of Niger Delta was finally maturing, meaning its reserves are beginning to drop. He said that the shallow and deep offshore waters had not matured but it was only a matter of time before that happened.
