RTEAN lauds Ajimobi over approval of motor parks

MEMBERS of Road Transport Employers' Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), has lauded Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, following the approval of three motor parks in Sasa, Samonda and Odogbo barracks of the state for its usage. The parks, Sunday Tribune gathered, were once occupied by members of the National Union of Transport Workers.It was jubilation galore at the state secretariat of RTEAN recently, following the declaration by the state government after a stakeholders' meeting with representatives of RTEAN and NURTW at the secretariat, Agodi during the week. Members of RTEAN, who were present at the meeting, beamed with happiness as they chanted Senator Ajimobi's name.Speaking at the meeting, Commissioner for Transport, Professor Nureni Tanimowo, said Governor Ajimobi's decision to approve the parks for RTEAN was informed by his commitment to a peaceful-co-existence in the state, especially among transporters.While speaking with Sunday Tribune after the meeting, Chairman of RTEAN, Oyo State, Prince Kehinde Adeyemo, disclosed that Governor Ajimobi had proven himself to be a listening governor who paid active attention to people's yearnings.
