"I did it for a good cause and soon I'm going to share the whole video so the whole world can see."Zdorovetskiy has yet to reveal what "good cause" he climbed the Great Pyramid of Giza for, or share the full video from his ascent. But the influencer, who also has nearly two million subscribers on YouTube, did share more snaps of the climb on his Instagram story. One snap showed two figures scaling the pyramid. The word "Me" was written alongside an arrow pointing to the figure who was higher up the pyramid. Another arrow pointed as the second person alongside the word "security."Another picture showed a figure nearing the top of the pyramid, alongside the words "fear does not exist!"One image showed a woman pointing at a tiny figure near the top of the pyramid. The following picture on the Instagram story zoomed into the shot and featured a crown emoji on top of the figure's head.A video clip that was shared on Zdorovetskiy's Instagram story appeared to show him climbing the pyramid as well.Zdorovetskiy also shared a screenshot from his friend's phone that appeared to show three text messages he had sent after apparently being released from prison. It was just 2 months ago that Egypt's parliament made it illegal to climb the country's monuments, including the pyramidsIn November, the parliament ruled that anyone who was found "climbing any antiquity without obtaining a license" could face "at least one month's imprisonment and/or a fine of not less than EGP 10,000 ($630.57) and not more than EGP 100,000 ($6,305.69)," according to Ahram Online. It also noted that the penalty would be "doubled if the acts are associated with violations of public decency."The ruling followed a number of incidents involving tourists at the Great Pyramid of Giza.In December 2018, Danish photographer Andreas Hvid filmed himself climbing the Great Pyramid of Giza with a model. They took off their clothes and posed in a sexual position for a photo at the top of the pyramid, which Hvid later shared on social media.
