Farmally partners Lagos Abattoir on cattle supply

Farmally Investment Limited, an agricultural company, has agreed to partner Agege Abattoir, Agege, Lagos, on the supply of cattle.Speaking at the abattoir, Mr Tunji David, the founder and CEO of Farmally, who was impressed by the level of the cleanliness at the automated slaughter house, assured the chairman of the abattoir, Alhaji M.B. Yusuf, who is also the chairman of the Lagos State Butchers Association, of quality and consistent supply of cattle to the abattoir. The chairman promised to work harmoniously with Farmally.We intend to be the single largest supplier of quality cattle in Nigeria, said Mr Mafindi Tafida, the Executive Director of Farmally.He said: Nigeria does not have a large breeding cattle ranch as most of the cattle brought into the country are mainly from neighbouring African countries.Read Also:Agony on Lagos-Ibadan expresswayMr David said: The agric tech company intends to acquire and raise over 10,000 tropicalised freisan cows in partnership with the Nigeria Farmers Group and Cooperative Society (NFGCS) within the next five years through its crowdfunding platform for milk production and quality beef supply.Also, the National Cordinator of the NFGCS, Mr Retson Tedheke, said the farm had launched its pilot hydroponics plant house in preparation for the 10,000 cattle programme.Farmally also recently launched its premium gold brand of rice into the Nigerian market.
