Bankers Football: Fidelity whip FCMB

FidelityBank on Saturday whipped FCMB 5-2 in continuation of the Bankers football championship. They moved to the top of the group with six points with striker Godwin Dajoh standing out after scoring two goals and giving two assists.He also won man of the match award for the game and ranks as joint top scorer with three goals.Fidelity Banks Nboli Biniki who has scored two goals so far in the tournament opened scoring in the 5th minute off a pullout from Dajoh but the hard fighting FCMB reduced the tally with two quick goals scored by Akin Olabanji in the 30th minute and Tony Okafor in the 36th to level the game. Christian Ogbeji who is joint highest goal scorer increased the tally nine minutes later to put Fidelity ahead again, before wrapping up the game with the last goal in the 86th minute.The second match between defending champions Unity Bank and Federal Mortgage Bank ended 3-0 in favour of the latter.The third match of the weekend between Fortis and Ecobank ended 5-0 in favour of Fortis. It started on a fast note with Fortis dominating the game. The first goal of the match was scored in the 10th minute by Isaac Fache who went on to score three more goals and became the first player to score a hat trick in the tournament.The matches were very entertaining with over 1000 fans cheering and supporting their teams.
