Eagles players sabotaged Siasia's efforts

Former junior international Jide Oguntuase believes sacked Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia was sabotaged by some of the national teams players.Siasia was fired by the Nigeria Football Federaion on Friday after he failed to help the Eagles qualify for next years Africa Cup of Nations.Oguntuase said some big players who controlled the team felt threatened after Siasia tried to instill discipline.I didnt see any wrong Siasia did by instilling discipline in the team because most of the players are undisciplined, the Scotland 89 U-17 World Cup Golden Eaglets forward said.The players have been controlling the team before Siasia came. So when he tried to put things straight, they resisted him.If you watch Osaze (Odemwingie), he hardly missed the kind of chances he missed in the last game against Guinea. But he scored for his club immediately he returned to England. From the way they played, it would be hard to rule out sabotage.Oguntuase added that Siasia shouldnt have signed the contract he was given, saying it was what led to his sack.
