Ondo gov's wife expresses concern for rural women

THE wife of the Ondo State governor, Mrs Olukemi Mimiko, has called on local government authorities to improve the welfare of women and children in their communities.Mimiko made the call in Akure during a meeting with the female commissioners, wives of commissioners and caretaker chairmen of local government councils in the state.She noted that women and children in those areas needed care support from their leaders who should identify with their needs and challeges.``This goes in particular to the wives of the interim chairmen because you are at the grass roots. It is important for you to establish good relationships with them for assistance,'' she said.She also called on wives to show understanding with their spouses and be ready to offer good advice.
