Mobil keeps faith with school sports

The Director of Sports in the Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board, David Ekefre, has confirmed that the annual Mobil track and field championships for secondary schools will hold.Ekefre said in Uyo on Wednesday that he had directed school principals in the state to release their pupils for the zonal finals expected to hold in the first week of November across the state. He assured that the competition which had been sponsored by Mobil for the past 10 years would hold as scheduled.This years competition was slated to commence on November 3 and end on November 4 with the zonal eliminations that will be held in the eight sports zones of the state. Qualifiers in the zones will then compete in the grand finale scheduled for the Eket Stadium on December 1, 2 and 3, he said.
