NFF under investigation for forgery

The board members of the Nigeria Football Federation have been released on bail after appearing at the police headquarters in Abuja to answer questions over forgery allegations.The NFF, led by itsw president Alhaji Aminu Maigari, is being investigated by the Force Criminal Investigation Department.The probe centres on documents the NFF used in court last year, purportedly from the world football governing body, FIFA, to defend a case brought by the National Association of Nigerian Footballers.The NANFs original case questioned the legality of the NFF elections held in August 2010.In the latest development the NANF have now provided the police with documents signed by FIFA President, Sepp Blatter, which do not tally with the one used by the NFF in court last year.
