MORE words of commendation and accolades are coming the way of the chairman/CEO of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, Mr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, over his recent appointment as a youth ambassador by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).The latest shower of praise comes from acclaimed friend of Super Eagles players, Friday Nwankwo-Kujah, who described the choice of Ubah as a step in the right direction by the NFF."I am happy that the NFF have taken this bold step in giving honour to whom it is due, considering that Mr Ubah has recently shown a great love for developing football in this country," Kuj ah retorted.The renowned FIFA Licensed Agent went on to recount how Ubah hosted the Flying Eagles after their outing at the FIFAU-20 World Cup in Colombia and pointed out that the Capital Oil magnate also played a key role during the Super Eagles futile attempt to overrun Guinea during their final African Cup of Nations qualifier in Abuja."Mr Ubah has not been relenting in his efforts to promote our football, and he continues to support the Eagles and other national teams financially and morally. He even played a key role during Kanu Nwankwo's testimonial, and has a one-on-one relationship with Emmanuel Adebayor and other top African players."Right now, as I speak, he is even considering stepping in as sponsor of the Challenge Cup on an annual basis," said Nwankwo-Kujah, who also revealed that Ubah is also contributing towards grassroots football development through a proposed establishment of Capital Oil Youth Empowerment Foundation.He concluded with a look at the NFF's decision to appoint ex-Super Eagles captain, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi as national team handler, with a view that it is a timely move by the Glasshouse to stem the floundering tide of Nigerian football."I am happy that the NFF have moved quickly to appoint Keshi to handle the Super Eagles.
