Ogun LGSC boss assures on welfare

The chairman, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Olatunde Okewole, has reassured workers of Ijebu-North Local Government of the commission's readiness to improve on their working condition.He gave this assurance at the local government secretariat during a one-day visit by the commission to the local government in continuation on his familiarisation visit to all the 20 local government areas of the state.He stressed that the government of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) will rebuild the entire state without leaving any stone unturned, saying that all hands must be on deck to to cooperate with the present government while calling on the entire staff to uphold standard and work ethics of the civil service. He also expressed satisfaction at the rousing reception his team received from the staff.Speaking earlier, the council boss, Mr Kunle Ogunlana, congratulated the commission boss on his well deserved appointment.Mr Ogunlana gave kudos to the commission for the numerous efforts in ensuring that deserving officials were duly promoted as at when due.He acknowledged that his administration has enjoyed a smooth, hitch-free and cordial relationship with all the career staff, various unions, bodies and political functionaries since inception.On his part, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Oludare Odunsanya, thanked the commission for the visit while reiterating that, the workforce has been enjoying a cordial and smooth relationship with both the political office holders and the members of the public.
