FORMER Super Eagles Team B chief coach, Daniel Amokachi, has declared his intention to replace Samson Siasia as coach of the Eagles as soon as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) pronounce the position vacant.The former national team captain stated that he is yet to officially apply for the Eagles'job.Amokachi also known as 'The Bull' believes he is qualified to become Nigeria's next manager if the job becomes vacant."I have not applied for the job, but certainly I will do that if the position is declared vacant by the NFF."I have the certificate and I am now a Coaches Instructor in Europe," Amokachi said.The 38-year-old sports analyst recalled leading the Home-based Eagles to win theWAFU Nations Cup "Declares intent to coach Eaglestitle in2010.The former Rancher Bees' man also said he has the capability to manage the Eagles' superstars effectively."I have been there before with the Eagles when we won the WAFU Cup with players that are unknown. I brought out players like Fengor Ogude and Ahmed Musa. So I can manage them effectively," he said.Amokachi becomes the second ex-Nigeria player to declare interest for the Eagles'job after Sunday Oliseh.Anf the former Everton FC of England striker also spoke on Oliseh's aspiration saying the former Borussia Dortmund of Germany midfielder does not have the pedigree to coach the national team, he is just like Siasia. There is a difference betweencoaching under-age teams and the Eagles.The job of Eagles' head coach is still occupied by Siasia, whose future will be determined by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee this week.Amokachi has wondered why Siasia is still Eagles coach as he also questioned the handling of star players by his former team mate and has consistently queried Siasia's professionalism."Nigeria need a manager who can manage the players, not someone who keeps fighting them."This is in reference to Siasia's much-publicised rows with Osaze Odemwingie and Vincent Enyeama.Amokachi has equally put himself forward for the Eagles top post.
